We are excited to announce that our new Assistant Principal, Megan Ciccarello will be joining us in mid-June.

Megan is thrilled to be joining the Fairfax High School team! Coming from a family of educators, Megan brings 16 years of experience working with students of all ages, from PreK to university level. Megan is a native New Yorker and completed her undergraduate degree in Spanish and Italian secondary education at Hofstra University. She earned a master’s degree in special education from Loyola Marymount University and a master’s degree in educational administration and supervision from Fordham University. Megan has called Virginia home for the past 11 years and is coming to Fairfax High School from Prince William County, where she served in a variety of roles, most recently as assistant principal at C.D. Hylton High School in Woodbridge, where she supervised their Special Education department. Prior to serving in the assistant principal role at Hylton, Megan was an assistant principal at Independence Nontraditional School. She also teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in special education for the University of Valley Forge. Megan is passionate about serving students of all abilities and backgrounds and helping them to achieve their potential. She feels strongly about partnering alongside educators to ensure that students are learning in the best environment with the right supports and relationships to help them succeed. Outside of her life in education, Megan enjoys spending time outside, reading, cooking, and chasing after her 4-year-old son!
