SAT School Day - Oct 11, 2023
SAT School Day Intent to Participate
On Wednesday, October 11, Fairfax High School students will have the opportunity to participate in the SAT School Day. FCPS will cover the cost for any twelfth grade student to take this test. The essay option and subject area tests are not available during SAT School Day.
To reserve a seat for you to take this exam and ensure appropriate test materials are available for you, you are asked to complete the form below by Wednesday, September 6.

You will need to use your @fcpsschools.net email account to access and complete this form. A translated version of the form content may be found on the SAT School Day Intent Form webpage (https://www.fcps.edu/node/43896). FHS cannot accept walk-ins on the day of the exam. If you have already signed up, no need to sign up again. If you have signed up and changed your mind, please email Mrs. Trieu. Please let her know by September 11th. However, if you do decide after that date to not take the exam, please let Mrs. Trieu know up until October 11th.
General information about the SAT School Day test format is available on the College Board webpage (https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/taking-the-test/sat-in-school).
Directions on how to access scores and score release dates are published by College Board via the College Board website. Note that the Common App early decision deadline is November 1, 2023; however, SAT school day scores are also scheduled to post on November 1, 2023. Therefore, students who are applying for early decision should consider registering for an SAT weekend administration.

Senior Portraits
October 5 - 6, and November 28 - December 1, after school from 3pm-8pm
Formal attire is required for the official yearbook photo. The photography studio will provide a wrap (dress drape) or tuxedo (suit drape) for you to choose from. When preparing for your sitting, wear a tank top or light t-shirt that can hide under these options while preserving your modesty. If neither dress nor tux feels appropriate for you, we ask that you wear a formal all-black button-down shirt, blouse, or sweater, suitable for the yearbook. If you do not have proper attire, you will be asked to choose from provided options or to reschedule your sitting. If you would like to purchase photos where you wear a variety of outfits, you must pay for your sitting, the pricing of which depends on how many outfit changes you plan to have.
The photography studio, Legacy Studios, will be emailing scheduling information. If you have any questions about package options or scheduling, reach out to Legacy directly, as the school cannot assist with this. You can also click the following link and schedule now:

Senior Dues
Senior Dues are now $80 and can be paid using My School Bucks: https://www.myschoolbucks.com/ver2/getmain?requestAction=home
All financial obligations, including Senior Dues, must be paid or you will not be allowed to participate in graduation.
